But we’re more than a product comparison website. The information we share is backed by years of real, hands-on growing experience.
Our founder, Christy Darlington, has spent more than a decade growing vegetables and working with greenhouses, hydroponics, aquaponics, and organic gardening. Our greenhouse experience began in 2008 and has included years of learning firsthand about growing spaces, ventilation, temperature management, equipment, and the challenges of extending the growing season.

Much of that experience is documented through GreenLivingOffGrid.com, our educational gardening website, where we share real videos and information from our greenhouse growing, hydroponic systems, aquaponics projects, and gardens.
That practical experience gives us a different perspective when researching products for Best Home Gardens. We understand that choosing a greenhouse or growing system isn’t simply about finding the lowest price or the biggest model. Your space, climate, growing goals, experience level, and budget all matter.
While we haven’t personally used every individual product featured on Best Home Gardens, our product research and insights are informed by years of actually working with these types of growing systems.
